Hi Lovelies. I hope your week is off to a great start. Last week we had an epic adventure in Inyo County. So, I am starting off my content share with these 5 Must See Places In Death Valley National Park. I have also shared my favorite footage from our adventure over on YouTube.

Must See Places in Death Valley

Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes

The girls had a blast running across the sand dunes. We found some really cool zebra tail lizards that were chasing each other and enjoying the nice warm weather. I definitely recommend carrying water with you on this adventure. We saw a couple people struggling and having to run back to cars for water. These sand dunes seem to go on forever and are stunning as you pull up. They stand out against the stark mountains that surround them.

Badwater Basin

282 Feet below sea level sits Badwater Basin with the salt flats. If you turn and look back they have the mountain marked with where sea level is. It’s fascinating to see how much higher sea level is than this spot. Again, if you plan on walking far out into the salt flats, I definitely recommend bringing water with you. There is zero shade and it’s is just baking in the sun. Be sure to stay on the path because the salt structures that sit on the edges are fragile.

Artist Palette

The photos and videos do not do this place justice. We hiked down into the canyon below the colored rocks and it’s just beautiful. I was so bummed because our GoPro and Camera just didn’t pick up the colors well. This is a nice little drive with a couple spots to stop. If you plan on hiking into the canyons bring your water and snacks just in case.

The Ranch at Death Valley

This is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the desert. There is a market and spots that you can enjoy food in the shade. There are two restaurants, but I would definitely check the times they are open and coordinate your schedule. We just missed being able to eat there, they close from 2-3pm to switch from lunch to dinner.

Zabriskie Point

This is a stunning view and must see. It’s a small walk, but if you would like to adventure out you can do the badlands loop trail. From what I have read the best time to go is first thing in the morning when the light is the best.

Last night we enjoyed the opening night at @cbf.pr Last night we enjoyed the opening night at @cbf.productions Snow N Glow. If you haven’t booked it yet check it out! It was a great way to kick off the holiday season. Here are my tips to make the most of it.
1. Book an early slot and grab a fire pit right when you get there. They fill up fast and don’t have much turn over.
2. They have servers that will deliver food and drinks to your fire pit or table.
3. Be sure to get a s’mores kit and hot cocoa. They have a special Snow N Glow hot cocoa with sprinkles and peppermint.
4. Santa visits have little to no wait and the Santa is really nice!! You can also send a letter to Santa!
5. We didn’t get too wet on the snow tubes, but bring a change of clothes just in case. You don’t want to ride home wet.
6. The drive thru light show is a separate event so if you want to do both make sure you have the right tickets.
