5 Tips to Keep Your Summer Makeup Fabulous

Hi Lovelies.  Today Rebecca will be sharing 5 tips to keep your summer makeup fabulous.  Just in time for warmer weather and lots of sunshine.

Summer is almost here, friends- yay! With the rising temps, it can be challenging to get our makeup to cooperate. Creases, smears, and lines are a woman’s worst nightmare, but guess what?! Here are 5 simple tips that can help keep your summer makeup fabulous!

5 Tips

1. SMOOTH IT OUT

Exfoliation is key to getting rid of dead skin cells and cleaning out your pores. For best results, use a natural exfoliator two – four times a week (or as directed). This will help keep your face soft and smooth and will leave you feeling confident.

2. SKIP THE FOUNDATION

Rather than using a heavy foundation, try a tinted moisturizer. It will provide the necessary coverage and give you a safe, sun-kissed glow.

3. PRIME

Use an eye primer before applying any powder or cream shadows to your lids. This will help with the inevitable creasing and smudging that happens due to sweat and heat. Hint: If you tend to have oily eyelids, opt for power vs. cream.

4. GIVE IT A REST

Your eyelashes, that is. Smudges and coon-eyes happen. Sure, we can do our best to try and avoid them, but depending on your level of activity, they’re just bound to show up! Don’t use mascara when you know you will be around water or spending a lot of time outside in the heat. If you feel the need to wear something on your lashes, try a clear mascara.

5. LUSCIOUS LIPS

Are you more of a glossy girl or a balm babe? For summer it’s best to lean more towards balm’s as they help lock in moisture and hydrate your lips for longer. Also, don’t forget to look for lip balms with an SPF of at least 15 – don’t want your kissers getting burned!

Now get out there and enjoy the summer sunshine, gorgeous, you deserve it!

One of my favorite spots on our European adventure One of my favorite spots on our European adventure was all of the beautiful churches. Stunning architecture, lots of discussions about religion and the differences between them all. It was so much fun to talk, to share with the girls and I hope they have a new respect for cultural and religious differences. In the end we are all humans, living on this earth, to grow, learn and love.

Here is a little travel tip: One way that we save money on travel is easy breakfasts. We keep food in our hotel, fresh fruit and baked goods. We grab a coffee every once in awhile, but it’s always something like this. Quick, easy and affordable.
