If you know your body shape and are ready to jump in, below you will find all 5 of the basics and the perfect coats for each. From casual lightweight coats to heavy winter coats, we cover them all. A few key tips for coat shopping, be sure the coat fits comfortably. To be sure, put the coat on and button it. Now, take your arms and give yourself a hug. The back of the coat should still be comfortable and not really tight. I know this sounds obviously, but there’s nothing worse than having to return clothes! Also, remember these tips are to create balance in the body. This means if your hips are the widest point and you are a pear, these tips are to draw the eye away and create balance in the shoulders. The best way to be sure your wardrobe picks are exactly what you want is to work with a stylist. They can hear your exact wants and needs to help you shop.
