The Weekly Style Edit: Blanket Scarf

Hi Lovelies.  Happy Friday.  Today, Lindsay and I are styling Blanket Scarfs for The Weekly Style Edit.  I kept it simple because it got pretty warm the day I planned on shooting this.  So, I took the pictures and the scarf had to come off.

On Monday, I talked about how we went to Julian because my daughter was finally better.  Well…. we got home from Julian to her screaming in pain.  I thought maybe it was just from the elevation change, but when we put her to sleep and she woke up crying I knew something was wrong.  We made a trip to urgent care, which is my least favorite thing in the world.  Only to find out she had a double ear infection.  She had no fever for 3 days and wasn’t complaining about any pain.  How the heck does that happen?  I mean these kids can go from good to bad in seconds.  It’s crazy.  So, she stayed home another day.  We hung out and painted my pumpkins for the dining room table.  It was a good day and now I’m hoping that we can put this behind us and get to Disneyland this week.  We all want to see the holiday decor before the park gets way crowded and it’s coming out Thursday.

The rest of this week consisted of teaching yoga, going to the gym and trying to get my life back on track.  Why is it that right when things are going so well, and you have your routine something happens.  We have been back to eating out all the time because we haven’t been home.  It drives me crazy.  I really need to get my health back.  I know it’s the holiday season and who tries to get fit during the holidays?  This girl I guess.  This time the goal is Christmas.  Now that my blog is all fixed, the kids are healthy, I don’t have a ton of travel planned or an overly busy work schedule I can do it.  Right?  I just have to give up the excuses.  I totally find myself saying I need to work instead of exercising.  Every SINGLE day.  It has to stop.  The excuses, the nonsense has to stop.  So, here’s to Friday and this momma giving up the dang excuses.

Let’s get to the linkup.  Come and JOIN US.  Share whatever outfit you want.  Meet new blogger friends and share your style.  Just to let you know, the month of December we are going to get rid of the trend each week.  We will each style our own looks and welcome to share any and all looks you have.  We can’t wait to see everyone’s looks.

Best laid plans and all that 🙂 cut yourself some slack though, it can’t be easy balancing family and personal time, especially with a sick child. Here’s a much more peaceful weekend for you and yours.

I’m talking about legacy on the blog currently. What it means to me. How I want the world to remember me. That and my weekly Project Sister Act Link-Up is currently live, and will be up until next Thursday, and I would so love for you to come over and join in xoxo

Love the outfit! We went through a spree of trouble with one of sons and his ears before he had to eventually get tubes. But it was crazy, I wouldn’t know anything was wrong and then boom, double ear infection! Hope you’re sweet girl feels better soon!

One of my favorite spots on our European adventure One of my favorite spots on our European adventure was all of the beautiful churches. Stunning architecture, lots of discussions about religion and the differences between them all. It was so much fun to talk, to share with the girls and I hope they have a new respect for cultural and religious differences. In the end we are all humans, living on this earth, to grow, learn and love.

Here is a little travel tip: One way that we save money on travel is easy breakfasts. We keep food in our hotel, fresh fruit and baked goods. We grab a coffee every once in awhile, but it’s always something like this. Quick, easy and affordable.
