The Weekly Style Edit: Plaid And A Dress

Hi lovelies.  First Friday of the New Year.  I can’t believe it.  I spent this week, getting our lives organized for the new year.  Scheduling appointments, enrolling for schools, preparing for my new adventure as a Daisy co-leader and adventuring out to Ikea in this super comfy black dress layered under this plaid shirt dress.

The whole family loves Ikea, but oh man don’t go on a holiday weekend.  It was crazy.  We had planned on eating lunch there because my LO loves the meatball platter, but the line was so long.  So, we came home and I made the meatball meal.  We picked up the chicken meatballs, lingonberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and gravy.  The hubs was surprised.  It’s not my thing to make big hearty meal like this.  They were all in heaven.  Then reality hit of back to school and now it’s Friday.  Cheers to the weekend.  Fashion bloggers join Lindsay and I below for The Weekly Style Edit.  Also, see the lovely ladies I am linking up with here.

Happy New Year Meghan. Gosh it looks so warm and sunny there. It is around 100 degrees here currently. Believe it or not I have never been to an Ikea but I do love meatballs. Hope you had a great holiday season girl. Love this athleisure look!

I welcome you to stop by my blog too and I’d love for you to linkup your stylish latest looks too. Thanks.

    Happy New Year! Ada. =)

I have to be super careful with plaid. It can either look great on me or be my worst enemy. This is a very cute look, though!

Can I say how much I love the look of the plaid with sneakers? I’m so glad sneakers are making a comeback as casual/dressy mix.

Lovely casual chic look! I made the mistake of going to Ikea on a weekend so I know exactly what you mean! I felt very claustrophobic inside…never again!

Stunning architecture, lots of discussions about religion and the differences between them all. In the end we are all humans, living on this earth, to grow, learn and love.

Here is a little travel tip: One way that we save money on travel is easy breakfasts. We keep food in our hotel, fresh fruit and baked goods. We grab a coffee every once in awhile, but it’s always something like this. Quick, easy and affordable.
